X₁ = (a₁)n + (b₁)m

m + n

Y₁ = (a₂)n + (b₂)m

Equation of a line:-

Equation of a line joining 2 point (x₁, y₁) and (x₂, y₂) can be represented as

(y - y₁) = y₂ - y₁ (x - x₁)

x₂ - x₁

In the given question :-

For first part:-

m = 3 and n = 1

X₁ = 2 and Y₁ = 1

a₁ = x and a₂ = 0

b₁ = 0 and b₂ = y

For second part:-

y₁ = y and y₂ = 0

x₁ = 0 and x₂ = x
