let x be the distance of tree from the point P horizontly and therefore the distance of tree from Q is 100 - x.
let h be the height of the tree
for the point P, tan30= h/x
=>1/root 3= h÷x
=>
 \sqrt{3} x = h
=>and from point Q, tan45= h/100-x
=>h=100-x
and by solving both equations we get that x is equal to h√3/(√3+1).
