\mathfrak{\large{\underline{\underline{Given:-}}}}

The initial velocity of car is (u)= 30 km/ hr or 8.34 m/sec

Time taken to stop = 5 sec.

\mathfrak{\large{\underline{\underline{To find:-}}}}

Deacceleration of car = ?

\mathfrak{\large{\underline{\underline{Solution:-}}}}

As after applying brakes the car comes to be rest I. e, it's final velocity become 0.

Now,we use equation of motion.

\boxed{\sf\red{a = \frac{v - u}{t} }}

putting the value,

\implies \bold{a =   \frac{0 - 8.34}{5} }

\implies \bold{a = -1.668m/ {s}^{2}  }

The negative sign shows that acceleration is opposite in direction of motion.
