Step-by-step explanation:

let one of the two digits be = x

so , another digit = 3x

from this, let the digit on the unit's place be =3x

and digit on ten's place be x

therefore ,the number is 10x+3x

if we interchange the digits, unit's place digit is x and ten's place digit is 3x

hence the number is 10(3x)+3x = 30x+x

given that, original no.+ resulting no.= 88

== 10x+3x +30x+x=88

44x=88

x=2

now put 'x' in 10x+3x

we get the original number as 26
