First by BPT theorem, get the ratios of both sides equal

AD/BD=AE/EC

then we recalling BPT theorem if ratios of both sides are equal

DE//BC

So if DE//BC

Angle ABC=angle ADE

therefore angle ABC=48°

AD/DB = 6/9=2/3. &. AE/EC =8/12 = 2/3. SINCE , AD/DB = AE/EC. SO , BY CONVERCE OF THALES THEOREM , DE PARALLEL BC . SINCE,DEIIBC , angleADE = angle ABC ( alternate interior angle). HENCE , angleABC = 48°.
