we know, (N/No) = (1/2)^t/T

since, activity,R is directly proportional to N

R/Ro = (1/2)^t/T

1/32 = (1/2)^50/T

(1/2)^5 = (1/2)^50/T

= 50/ T

= 5

T = 10 years
