(i) x=5/2,y=-3/4

putting the value

 \:{5/2+(-3/4)}÷{5/2-(-3/4)}

 {5/2-3/4}÷{5/2+3/4}

\frac{10 - 3} {4}  \div  \frac{10 + 3}{4}

 \frac{7}{4}  \div  \frac{13}{4}

 \frac{7}{4}  \times  \frac{4}{13}

\frac{7}{13}
