Answer:

(c) Addition of rational numbers is associative

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

 \frac{ - 2}{3}  +  \frac{3}{5}  =  \frac{3}{5}  +  \frac{ - 2}{3}

Solution:

LHS:

 \frac{ - 2}{3}  +  \frac{3}{5}

 =  \frac{ - 10 + 9}{15}

 =  \frac{ - 1}{5}

RHS:

 \frac{3}{5}  +    \frac{ - 2}{3}

 =  \frac{9 + ( - 10)}{15}

 =  \frac{ - 1}{5}

Hence,

LHS = RHS

NOW,

As we know that,

The way in which all the numbers are grouped in a additional problem in such a way, that does not change the sum is known as associative property.

We, have proved in the above condition that

LHS = RHS with the property of addition where the sum on both the sides remains same.

Hence, the rational number is in associative property.
