Let x be the % of the selling price of a phone
so,
x% of. 5000= 4000
(x/100)*5000= 4000
so x=80%
so at 80% of the s.p. it was sold out so the discount will be
100-80=20%

Answer:
Option (2) - 20%
Explanation:
Given Marked price = 5000, Selling price = 4000.
We know that Discount = Marked price - Selling price
= 5000 - 4000
= 1000.
We know that Discount% = Discount/ Marked Price * 100
= 1000/5000 * 100
= 20.
Therefore the Rate of discounts = 20%.
Hope this helps!
