 {x}^{3}   + {x}^{2}  - 2 \\ we \: get \: (x - 1) \times ( {x}^{2}  + 2x + 2) \\  limit_{x = 1}( {x}^{3}  +  {x}^{2} - 2 )  \div (x - 1) \\  =  limit_{x = 1}(\frac{ (x - 1) \times ( {x}^{2}  + 2x + 2) } {(x - 1})  \\  \\  =  {1}^{2}  + 2(1) + 2 \\ 1 + 2 + 2 = 5
