R = p l / a

Here p = resistivity .

l = length .

a = area of cross section .

R = resistance .

Resistances of the wires are same .

Length is same .

Resistivity of copper < resistivity of manganin .

R = p l / a

= > R a = p l

Hence a = p l / R

Thickness of area of cross section is directly proportional to resistivity .

Since manganin has more resistivity , the thickness will also be more .

ANSWER :

Manganin
