Answer:

Equation- y² + 11y + 10

Factorising using splitting the middle term method we get,

=> y² + 10y + y + 10 = 0

=> y ( y + 10 ) + 1 ( y + 10 ) = 0

=> ( y + 10 ) ( y + 1 ) = 0

=> y = -10, -1

Hence the zeros of the equation are -10 and -1.

Here is your solution

 y {}^{2} + 11y + 10  = 0\\ y {}^{2}  + 10y + y + 10  = 0\\ y(y + 10) + 1(y + 10)  = 0 \\ (y + 1)(y + 10) = 0

For finding zeores of equation

y + 1 = 0

y = -1

Or

y + 10 = 0

y = -10

Note:-

when we put value of y= -10 or -1 then value of equation will zero
