HELLO DEAR,
X = (√3 + 1)/2
∴[ on SQUARING both side]
We get,
x² = (√3 + 1)²/2²
⇒ x² = (3 + 1 + 2√3)/4
⇒ x² = (4 + 2√3)/4
⇒ x² = 2(2 + √3)/4
⇒ x² = (2 + √3)/2
now,
4x³ + 2x² - 8x + 7
⇒ 2x²(2x + 1 ) - 8x + 7
⇒ 2×(2 + √3)/2 [ ( 2×(√3 + 1)/2 + 1 ] - 8(√3 + 1)/2 + 7
∴ [ x² = (2 + √3)/2 & x = (1 + √3)/2]
⇒ (2 + √3) (√3 + 2 ) - 4√3 - 4 + 7
⇒ 4 + 3 + 4√3 - 4√3 - 4 + 7
⇒ 7 + 3
⇒ 10.
I HOPE ITS HELP YOU DEAR,
THANKS
