Hey friend, ☺️ here is your answer ___________________________

2y + 1 = 0
y = - 1/2

Put this in polynomial, if the polynomial comes to zero. Then it is a multiple of 2y + 1

Lets see - -

4 { (\frac{ - 1}{2} )}^{3}  + 4 {( \frac{ - 1}{2} )}^{2}  - ( \frac{ - 1}{2} ) - 1 \\  = 4 \times  \frac{ - 1}{8}  + 4 \times  \frac{1}{4}  +  \frac{1}{2}  - 1 \\  =  \frac{ - 4}{8}  + 1 +  \frac{1}{2}  - 1 \\  =  \frac{ - 4}{8}  +  \frac{1}{2}  \\  =  \frac{ - 4 + 4}{8}  \\  =  \frac{0}{8}  \\  = 0

Yes, the polynomial is a factor of 2y + 1

Hope this helps you..
