Answer:

1) The reason for the flow of electric current is due to potential difference between two ends of a wire/conductor.

2) Electric current is the flow of electrons. It is expressed in terms of Ampere.

3) S.I unit of charge - Coulomb (C)

   S.I unit of  current- Ampere (A)

   Charge is said to be 1 coulomb if it experiences a force of 9 x 10^9 N by a                                                       test charge kept at a distance of 1m .

  Current is said to be 1 ampere if 1 coulomb of charge flows through the    conductor in 1 second.

4) Current direction is from negative to positive.

5) Magnitude of current is I = Q/t

                                             = 80/4

                                           I = 20 A

6) Given, current, I = 20A

                time, t = 5 sec.

According to formula, I= Q/t

                             so,  Q = (I)(t)

          but, Q=ne   so, ne = (I)(t)

                                    n = (I)(t) / e

                                    n= (20)(5) / 1.6 x 10^-19

                              =>  n = 6.25 x 10^ 20

7) Current flows in a conductor by flow of electrons through it.

Answer:

Explanation:

Q1] In metallic solids, electric charge flows by means of electrons, from lower to higher electrical potential. ... In other conductive materials, the electric current is due to the flow of both positively and negatively charged particles at the same time. In still others, the current is entirely due to positive charge flow

Q2}  Electric current is expressed in the unit called ampere or I = Q/t. 2.an electric current is the flow of charged electrons from the region of higher concentration to the region of lower concentration.
