2.[35--9]+[(-61)-33]

1. [16 - (-2) + (- 23 - 17)]

= [16 - (-2) + (-40)]

= (16 + 2 - 40)

=(18 - 40)

= - 22

2. [35 - (-9)] + [(-61) - 33]

= (35 + 9) + (- 61 - 33)

= 44 + (- 94)

= 44 - 94

= - 50
