Answer:

Given:- radius = 3cm, height = 10.5 ,

No. of competitors = 35

\rule{300}{1.00}

To find:- how much cardboard was used

\rule{300}{1.00}

Solution:- C.S.A of 1 Cylinder =

2\pi  rh + \pi  r {}^{2}  \\  =  > 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 3 \times 10.5 \\ +  \frac{22}{7} + 3 {}^{2}    =  >  226.28 \: cm {}^{2}

Now CSA of 35 such cylinders = 35 × 226.28 cm² = 1188 cm²
