in first one we get the probability as $\frac{x}{18}$ ................(1)

so, now 2 white balls are added and the probability will be 9/8 times of (1)

so the equation will be

as two white balls are added it'll be $\frac{x+2}{18}$

= [tex] \frac{x+2}{18} =\frac{9}{8}( \frac{x}{18} ) [/tex]

= 8(x+2) = 9x

8x + 16 = 9x

x =16
