- Equations are :
- Eq(1) => 4x + 7y = 16xy
- Eq(2) => 10x + 3y = 11xy
- now multiplying eq(1) by 5 and eq(2) by 2 , we get
- 20x + 35y = 80xy
- 20x + 6y = 22xy
- now subtract both equation ,
- 20x - 20x + 35y - 6y = 80xy - 22xy
- 29y = 58xy
- cancel y
- 58x = 29
- x = 29/58 = 29 ÷ 58 = ½
- Value of x = ½
- then , substitute value of x in eq1 , we get
- 4(½) + 7y = 16(½)y
- 2 + 7y = 8y
- 8y - 7y = 2
- y = 2
- Value of y = 2
