so the equation will become

10A+2B=4........................(1)

15A-5B=-2.......................(2)

then multiply (1) by 5 & (2) by 2

we get 50A+10B=20 .................(3)

30A-10B=-4........................(4)

adding (3) an(4)

we get A=1/5 & B=1

now we know that A=1/x+y & B=1/x-y

so 1/5=1/x+y & 1=1/x-y

this implies that 5=x+y.........................(5)

1=x-y..................(6)  

adding (5) and (6)

we get

x=3 and y=2
