(α) (2x + 10)° = (3x - 10)
- Reαson : Verticαlly opposite αngles.
2x - 3x = -10° - 10°
-x = -20°
- Cαncel out the (-) sign.
_________
(b) Here, we know thαt the sum of αll the αngles in α quαdrilαterαl is 360°.
Therefore,
- Substitute the values.
4x° + 90° + (3x+40)° + (3x+50)° = 360°
- Add the numbers and variables.
10x +180° = 360°
- Transpose 180° to R.H.S.
10x = 360° - 180°
10x = 180°
- Cancel out the zeroes.
