Answer:

(a) part

2x+10 = 3x-10 ( vertically opposite angle )

10+10=3x-2x

20=x

(b) part

4x+(3x +40)+(3x+50)=180 ( sum of all the interior angles of a quadrilateral is equal to 180)

4x+3x+3x+90=180

10x=90

x=9

Hope it will help

\Large{\underbrace{\sf{\orange{Required\:Solution:}}}}

(α) (2x + 10)° = (3x - 10)

  • Reαson : Verticαlly opposite αngles.

\implies 2x - 3x = -10° - 10°

\implies -x = -20°

  • Cαncel out the (-) sign.

\large\implies{\boxed{\sf{\orange{x=20^{\circ}}}}}

_________

(b) Here, we know thαt the sum of αll the αngles in α quαdrilαterαl is 360°.

Therefore,

  • Substitute the values.

\implies 4x° + 90° + (3x+40)° + (3x+50)° = 360°

  • Add the numbers and variables.

\implies 10x +180° = 360°

  • Transpose 180° to R.H.S.

\implies 10x = 360° - 180°

\implies 10x = 180°

\implies{\rm{x = \dfrac{180}{10}}}

  • Cancel out the zeroes.

\implies{\rm{x = \dfrac{18\cancel{0}}{1\cancel{0}}}}

\large\implies{\boxed{\sf{\orange{x=18^{\circ}}}}}
