In triangle AOD and triangle BOC,

AD = BC (opposite sides of

parrallelogram are equal)

angle ADO = angle OBC (alternate angles are

equal)

angle DAO = angle OCB (alternate angles are

equal)

Therefore triangle AOD is congruent to triangle BOC.

Therefore ar(AOD) = ar(BOC)
