when y=-8
rhs =5(-8+8)
=0
therefore
lhs=8.2x
so for lhs =rhs to satisfy
x=0

Given,

 8*2^{x} = 5^{y + 8}  \\ \\ \text{Putting  y = -8} \\ \\ 2^{3}*2^{x} = 5^{-8+8} \\ \\ 2^{x+3}  = 5^{0} \\ \\ 2^{x+3}  = 1 \\ \\ x+3 = \log_2 1 \\ \\ x+ 3 =  \log_2 2^{0} \\ \\ x+3 = 0*\log_2 2 \\ \\ x+3 = 0*1 \\ \\ x + 3 = 0 \\ \\ x = -3 \  \textbf{Ans.}
