x - (2x - \frac{5x - 1}{3} ) = \frac{x- 1}{3} + \frac{1}{2}

x - \frac{x + 1}{3} = \frac{x}{3} - \frac{1}{3} + \frac{1}{2}

 \frac{3x - x - 1}{3} = \frac{x}{3} + \frac{-1 * 2 + 1 * 3}{6}

 \frac{2x-1}{3} = \frac{x}{3} + \frac{1}{6}

LCM of 3 and 2 = 6.

 \frac{2x}{3} * 6 -  \frac{1}{3} * 6 =  \frac{x}{3} * 6 +  \frac{1}{6} * 6

2x * (2) - (2) = x * 2 + 1

4x - 2 = 2x + 1

4x = 2x + 1 + 2

4x = 2x + 3

4x - 2x = 3

2x = 3

x = 3/2.

Hope this helps!
