S - 1 = 2/3 + 6/3² + 10/3³ + 14/3⁴ + ---------
=> S-1 /3 = 2/3² + 6/3³ + 10/3⁴ + 14/3⁵ + ------
On subtracting eq . (ii) from eq. (i) , we get
2/3 (s -1) = 2/3 + 4/3²+ 4/3³ + 4/3⁴ +------------
=> S - 1 = 1 + 2/3 + 2/3² + 2/3³ + ---------------
=> S = 2 + 2/3 / 1- 1/3 = 2+ 2/3 /2/3
using sum of infinite term , (a/1-r)
