3x + 2y = 13    ------(1)

5x + 2y = 11     ------(2)

(1) - (2) => 3x + 2y -5x - 2y = 13 - 11

                  -2x = 2

                      x = -1

3x + 2y = 13

3*-1 + 2y = 13

2y - 3 = 13

2y = 13+3 = 16

y = 8

Therefore, x = -1

                  y = 8
