See we have to determine which box require lesser amount of material to make.

So we will find TSA of both figures.

TSA of cuboid = 2(LB+BH+HL)

= 2(60×40+ 40×50+ 50×60)

= 2(2400+2000+3000)

=2(5400)

=10800cm²

Now TSA of Cube = 6a²

= 6×50²

=6×50×50

=6×2500

=15,000cm²

See Cuboid required less material for making it.

BlackCop: Sorry For the inconvenience the TSA of Cuboid would be 2(2,400+2,000+3,000) = 2(7,400) = 14,800cm²
