let the distance between them be x

x=90 km

let speed of A be Va and that of B be Vb

then

if they move in same direction

Va*9=x+y

Vb*9=y

subtracting the 2 equations

(Va-Vb)=x/9

=90/9

=10 km/hr

where y is the extra distance covered by B and A

also for the second case

Va*9/7=x-z

Vb*9/7=z

adding the 2 equations

(Va+Vb)=7x/9

=7*90/9

=70 km/hr

therefore

Va-Vb=10

and

Va+Vb=70

solving the 2 equations

Va=40 km/hr

and Vb=30 km/hr

(for the next question just change the time and speed variables and u will get your answer )

Hope this helps

and pic was verrrrrrrry clear....i think u clicked it from DSLR ..right...XD

Maybe it 50 pixels pic....right?
