In the Figure, ABC is a Triangle [i.e. ∆ABC]

Steps of Construction ➤

❖ Draw a rough figure of your triangle in one corner of the page. Also draw the lengths given with a ruler in one side of the page.

❖ Take the ruler and draw a line. Take 3.6 cm in the compass, Put the compass in any point on the line and draw an arc passing through the line. Put the compass in the point in which the arc and line meets and draw another arc passing through the line. Mark the points as C and B. Hence, a line segment BC is formed.

❖ Take the protractor and draw a right angle [90°] in C. Hence, ∠C [i.e. ∠QCB] is formed.

❖ Take 5.3 cm in your compass and put it in point B. Draw an arc passing through line segment CQ. The arc and the line segment CQ meets at a point, that is A.

Hence, triangle ABC is formed.

❖ Measure ∠BAC and ∠ABC, that is 40° and 50° respectively.
