Answer:
x² - 2x - 3 = 0
write it in the form of ax² + bx + c = 0
a = 1, b = -2 , c = - 3
According to the formula :-
x = (-b ± √b² - 4ac)/2a
=> { 2 ± √ (-2)² - 4×1 × (-3) } /2
=> { 2 ± √ 4 +12} /2
=> { 2 ± √16 } /2
=> { 2 ± 4 }/2
So, the roots are :-
2+4/2
=> 6/2
=> 3
and
2 - 4 /2
=> -2 /2
=> -1
Roots : 3 and -1
Hence, Solved.
