Answer:

There is no solution.

It's graph is parallel.

7(y + 3) - 2(x + 2) = 14 \\ 4(y - 2) + 3(x - 3) = 2 \\  \\  \\ 7y + 23 - 2x - 4 = 14 \\ 7y - 2x + 19 = 14 \\  - 2x + 7y + 19 - 14 = 0 \\  - 2x + 7y + 5 = 0  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   - 1eq \\  \\  \\  \\ 4y - 8 + 3x - 9 = 2 \\ 3x + 4y - 17 = 2 \\ 3x + 4y - 15 = 0 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  - 2eq \\  \\  \\  \\ 3x = 15 - 4y \\ x = 15 - \frac{4y}{3}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  - 3eq \\ putting \: eq3 \: in \: eq3 \\  \\  \\ 3( \frac{15 - 4y}{3} ) + 4y = 15 \\  \frac{45 - 12y + 12y}{3}  = 15 \\ 45 - 12y + 12y = 15 \times 3 \\ 45 - 12y + 12y = 45  \\  - 12y + 12y = 45 - 45 \\ 0 = 0

therefore it has no solution.

Hope this will help you.

Answer:x=5

y=1

Step-by-step explanation:

there is a solution to this question we just have to simply break the brackets to get:

7y+21-2x-4=14

4y-8+3x-9=2

so we put the like terms together

21-4=17=14-17=-3(note that i have taken 17 to the other side)

-8-9=-17=2+17=19

so now we put the values together again

7y-2x=-3..........(i)*4

4y+3x=19.........(ii)*7(note that i am multiplying the expressions with the values of y to be left with x alone first)

28y-8x=-12

28y+21x=133

so subtract all the values to get

-29x=-145

divide both sides by -29 to get the value of x which is x=5

for y we will take the first expression which is

7y-2(5)=-3(note that we already have the value of x so it will multiply the 2x from the first expression)

7y-10=-3

7y=7 divide both sides by 7 to obtain y which will be

y=1
