 \frac{2}{5}  +  \frac{3}{10}
taking LCM of 5 and 10 and multiplying them
 \frac{2}{10}   +  \frac{3}{10}  \\  =  \frac{2 + 3}{10}   \\  =  \frac{5}{10}  \\  =  \frac{1}{2}

 \frac{5}{12}  +  \frac{7}{16}
taking LCM of 12 and 16 and multiplying them
 \frac{20}{48}  +  \frac{21}{48}  \\  =  \frac{20 + 21}{48}  \\  =  \frac{41}{48}
