2)add a metal ( say zinc ) with an acid ( say H2SO4 ) , now we may find H2 is released just through the equation ( Zn +H2SO4 -----> ZnSO4 + H2 )
this can be proved by taking a burning matchstick near the opening of the beaker ( or any vessel ) , you may find the matchstick burning with pop sound . this shows us that H2 gas is liberated
3) Similar as in question 2 we may find the same when a metal reacts with a given base through its equation.
same practical method of taking a burning matchstick near the opening of the vessel , similar obeservation of burning matchstick with pop sounds can be seen which shows us that the liberated gas is H2
