1. Are of the figure = Ar. rect. + Ar. triangle

= l x b + 1/2 x b x h

= 12 x 10 + ( 1/2 x 8 x 6)

= 120 + 24

= 144cm^2

2. Area trapezium = 1/2 x h x ( sum of parallel sides )

= 1/2 x 11 ( 11 + 15 )

= 1/2 x 11 x 26

= 11 x 13

= 143cm^2

tafseerchoudhary: in part 1 how you get height
tafseerchoudhary: plese tell then I mark brainliest
naman8654: bro perpendicular is also called height.

in fig (1)......

area = area of rectangle+ area of right triangle
 =( 10 \times 12) + ( \frac{1}{2} \times 8 \times 6 ) \\ \\ = 120 + 24 \\ \\ = 144 \: cm \: square \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: (or \: 143 + 1) \: cm \: square
(we take 8 as base and 6 as height)

in fig(2)

area of parallelogram
 = \frac{1}{2} \times (b1 + b2) \times h \\ \\ = \frac{1}{2} (15 + 11) \times 11 \\ \\ = \frac{1}{2} (26) \times 11 \\ \\ = 13 \times 11 \\ \\ = 143 \: \: cm \: square
