a)(i) The black soil is formed by the weathering of lava (igneous rocks) and cooling of lava after a volcanic eruption.

(ii)when the velocity of river water decreases, sediments gets deposited from suspension . such soils are called as alluvial soil. it consist of alternate layers of sand+silt+clay. ... It is formed by the river carried huge deposits such as SAND ,SILT,CLAY .
(c)(i)Laterite soil.
(ii) this soil is formed by intensive and prolonged weathering of the underlying parent rock.
(iii) Laterite Soil is not suitable for cultivation because of its high content of acidity and it cannot retain moisture also.
(d)(I) the denudation of soil cover and its subsequent washing down is describe as soil erosion
(ii)Soil erosion is a naturally occurring process that affects all landforms.
