So, according to the question
X + 12Y=89 ... (1)
X + 20Y=145 ... (2)
substracting eq. (1) from eq. (2) we get,
8Y=56
Y=7
putting Val. of Y in eq. (1) we get,
X + 12(7)=89
X + 84=89
X=5
for travelling 30 km cost paid will be X + 30Y i.e. 5 + 30(7) OR ₹215
Ans. cost for travelling 30 km is ₹215
