6) this is related to Grahm's law of diffusion .
according to this theory,
rate of diffusion is inversely proportional to square root of density at same temperature and pressure .
we also know density is directly proportional to molecular mass .

so, rate of diffusion is inversely proportional to square root of the molecular mass .

e.g
R1 : R 2 : R3 = 1/√M1 : 1/√M2 : 1/√M3

we know ,
molecular mass of SO2 =64
molecular mass of O2 =32
molecular mass of CH4 =16

now,

R1 : R2 : R3 =1/√64 : 1/√32 :1/√16
=1/8 : 1/4√2 : 1/4
=1/8 :√2/8 :2/8
=1 : √2 : 2
