Given : Length of tile = 20 cm.

Given : Breadth of tile = 20 cm.

We know that Area of tile = length * breadth

⇒ 20 * 20

⇒ 400 cm^2.

Given : Length of plot = 25 m.

Given : Breadth of plot = 16 m.

We know that Area of plot = Length * Breadth

⇒ 25 * 16

⇒ 400 m^2.

Given that 1.5 m wide footpath is required.

⇒ Length of outer rectangle = 25 + (1.5 + 1.5)

                                                = 28 m.

⇒ Breadth of outer rectangle = 16 + (1.5 + 1.5)

                                                 = 19 m

Area of outer rectangle = 28 * 19 = 532 m.

Now,

⇒ Area of 1.5 m wide footpath :

⇒ 532 - 400

⇒ 132 m^2.

Therefore, Number of tiles required = 132/400

⇒ 132 m^2/400 cm^2

⇒ 1320000/400

⇒ 3300.

Hope this helps!
