So, let the roots be:

 \alpha  \: and \:  -  \alpha

➡Now, sum of roots:

 \alpha  + ( -  \alpha ) =

↪-b/a

➡0= -(-8k)/4

➡0=8k/4

➡0=2k

➡k=0
