Explanation:

From the princle of conservation of energy

1/2mv^2 - (GMm/R)= -GMm/R+nR

where , m=mass of the body

nR=height of the body above the surface of earth(Here nR=2R)

M & R=Mass and radius of earth

Therefore, from the above equation

1/2mv^2=GMm/R-GMm/R+2R

1/2mv^2=2GMm/3R

v^2=2GMm×2/m3R

v^2=4GM/3R

v=√4GM/3R

g=GM/R^2

Therefore velocity of the body on reaching the surface will be

v=√4/3gR
