a + 9 × 4 = 43


a + 36 = 43


a = 43 - 36


a = 7..



First term ( a ) = 7


Therefore,

5th term = a + 4d = 7 + 4 × 4 = 7 + 16 = 23



and,


8th term = a + 7d = 7 + 7 × 4 = 7 + 28 = 35

=> a = 43 - 36

a5 = a + 4d = 7 + 4 ( 4 ) = 7 + 16 = 23

a8 = a + 7d = 7 + 7 ( 4 ) = 7 + 28 = 35


Therefore the 5th of an A.P is 23 and the 8th of an A.P is 35.
