GIVEN:

  • P(x) = x³ + 4x² - 3x + 10 is divided by ( x + 4 )

TO FIND:

  • The Remainder by Remainder theorem.

SOLUTION:

As we know that,

=> x + 4 = 0

=> x = -4

Therefore,

P(x) = x³ + 4x² - 3x +10

P(-4) = (-4)³ + 4 × (-4)² - 3 × (-4) + 10

= -64 + 4 × 16 + 12 + 10

= -64 + 64 + 22

= 22

Hence, Remainder will be 22
