Answer:

let 1/3x+y = A

1/3x-y = B

hence the eqn became

A+B=3/4

4A + 4B =3/ ---1 eqn

also

A/2 - B/2= 1/8

A - B = 1/4

4A-4B = 1---2 eqn

by solving 1eqn and 2nd we get

A = 1/2

B = 1/4

now by putting the value of A and B we get

3x+y = 1/2

3x-y = 1/4

now by solving both the eqn we get

x= 1/8

y= 1/8
