Hiii friend,

3X -Y = 18........(1)

2X+ Y = 7......(2)

From equation (1) we get

3X= 18+Y

X= 18+Y/3.....(3)

Putting the value of X in equation (2)

2X + Y = 7

2 × (18+Y/3) + Y = 7

36 + 2Y/3+ Y= 7

36+2Y + 3Y = 21

5Y = 21-36

Y = -15/5 = -3

Putting the value Y In equation (3)

X= 18+Y/3. = 18 + (-3)/3 = 18-3/3 = 15/3 = 5

Hence,

X = 5 and Y = -3

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU....... :-)
