Solve simultaneous equation by elimination method 2x + 5y =10 (1) and 3x - 2y =18 (2)

3x-2y=36

2x+5y=10

x-3y=26

x=26+3y

Substitute in any equation

2(26+3y)+5y=10

52+6y+5y=10

-42=11y

-42/11=y

x=26+3(-42/11)

x=-126/11+26=14.5
