Answer:

2x + 3y = 7 equation (1)

3x + y = 7 equation (2)

multiplying equation (2) by 3 , we get

9x + 3y = 21 equation(3)

subtracting equation (1) & (3),we get

-7x = -14

7x = 14

x = 14/7

x= 2

put the value of x in equation (2) ,we get

3×3 + y = 7

9 + y = 7

y = 7 - 9

y = -2

Hence, x = 2 & y = - 2

Answer:

X=2, Y=1

Step-by-step explanation:

We have given 2 equations

     1.2x+3y=7

     2.3x+y=7

Multiplying eq 1 by 3 and eq 2 by 2

We have, 3. 6x+9y=21

4.6x+2y=14

Now subtracting eq 2 from eq 1, We would get

7y=7=1

Now putting value of y in eq 1

We would get 2x=7-3=4

2x=4, x=2
