put 2x = v

2 dx = dv

dx = dv/2

substitute dv/2 in place of dx

∫ sinv (dv/2) =1/2 ∫ sinv dv

= -1/2 cosv + C

putting value of v again in same place we get

∫ sinv (dv/2) = -1/2cos2x +C
