 \red{☆  \: Answer :}

  • BC \:  =  \: 4 \sqrt{5}

 \red{☆  \: Explanation :}

Given That :

  • Side AB = 8 cm
  • Side AC = 4 cm

To Find :

  • Side BC?

Solution :

  • Two sides AB & AC are given.

  • For fnding third side we use Pythagoras Theorem.

By Pythagoras Theorem,

BC² = AB² + AC²

BC² = 8² + 4²

BC² = 64 + 16

BC² = 80

BC = 4 \sqrt{5}

 \red{☆ \:  Let's  \:  \: Verify :}

By putting the value of Side BC,

(BC)² = (AB)² + (AC)²

 (4\sqrt{5})^{2} = 8² + 4²

16 × 5 = 64 + 16

80 = 80

LHS = RHS

Hence Verified.
