Given:-

  • Solve ( y - 2/5) / ( y + 2/5) = 5

To Find:-

  • Value after solving this equation.

Solution:-

( y - 2/5) / ( y + 2/5) = 5

⇝ {(5y-2)/5} / {(5y+2)/5} = 5

⇝ {(5y-2)/5} × {5/(5y+2)} = 5

⇝ (5y-2)/(5y+2) = 5

⇝ 5y - 2 = 5( 5y+ 2)

⇝ 5y - 2 = 25y + 10

⇝ 5y - 25y = 10 + 2

⇝ -20y = 12

⇝ -y = 12/20

⇝ y = -3/5

hence, -3/5 is the correct answer.
