so here you minus all the values and you will get

-17y=51

divide both sides by -17 then you will get that y=-3

for x you will do this:

2x-3(-3)=11(note that the equation is from the first step)

2x+9=11-9(you bring 9 to the side where 11 is to be left with x on one side only)

2x=2

divide both sides by 2 to get x=1
